Our mission statement
Sycamore Tree
Sycamore Tree is a victim awareness programme delivered to prisoners by trained volunteers that teaches the principles of restorative justice. Learners explore the effects of crime on victims, offenders, and the community, and discuss taking responsibility for their personal actions. Our volunteers model affirming, positive behaviour that shows prisoners a new way of living. For more information, visit https://prisonfellowship.org.uk/our-work/sycamore-tree/
Angel Tree
Angel Tree brings joy to some of the 312,000 children in England and Wales who have a parent in prison. Supported by PF volunteers, prisoners improve family relationships by sending a gift to their children at Christmas. This strengthens the parent-child relationship and reduces the chances of those prisoners reoffending. For more information, visit https://prisonfellowship.org.uk/our-work/angel-tree/
Letter Link
Letter Link provides hope and care through connecting a prisoner with a PF volunteer who in turn writes letters that, in some instances, provide the only communication a prisoner receives. Full training ensures our volunteers are equipped to undertake this sensitive work. Letters can provide essential encouragement and a link to the outside world.
